Eligibility Criteria for DSE Assam Special Educator Recruitment
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years
Age Relaxation:
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
- PwD: 10 years
Educational Qualification
- Graduate/ Post Graduate degree with minimum 50% marks (in either Graduation or Post Graduation) from a recognized University.
- B.Ed. (Special Education) from an institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- Degrees obtained through off-campus or unrecognized distance education institutions will not be valid.
- However, degrees from KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University, and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University shall be accepted.
Other Requirements
- Small Family Norms: Candidates with more than two living children on or after 01.01.2021 are not eligible.
- Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen and permanent resident of Assam.
- Employment Exchange Registration: Candidate’s name must be registered in an Employment Exchange of Assam.
- TET cum Recruitment Test: Must qualify in the Teachers Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test conducted by DSE Assam.
- Physical Fitness: Candidate must be medically fit and will undergo medical examination before appointment.
