The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 137 Veterinary Officer (VO) / Block Veterinary Officer (BVO) posts under the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Government of Assam. APSC Veterinary Officer Notification 2026

The Assam Public Service Commission has published Advertisement No. 11/2026 for filling 137 Veterinary Officer / Block Veterinary Officer (VO/BVO) vacancies in the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department. The notification was issued on 3 August 2026, while the online registration process will commence on 7 August 2026.

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online applications up to 6 September 2026, and the application fee can be paid until 8 September 2026.

Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Band-4 with a salary of ₹30,000 to ₹1,10,000, along with Grade Pay of ₹12,700 and other allowances as per Assam Government rules.

PwBD Reservation: A total of 4 vacancies are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Applicants must possess 40% or more benchmark disability certified by the competent authority.

Ex-Servicemen Reservation: Two vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen. Eligible candidates must upload their Ex-Servicemen Identity Card and Discharge Book while submitting the application.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science from a recognized university or institution.

  • Must be a Permanent Resident of Assam.
