PNRD Assam Recruitment 2026: The Commissionerate of Panchayat & Rural Development (PNRD), Assam has officially released a recruitment notification dated 19 February 2026 for 1508 contractual vacancies under the flagship schemes MGNREGA and PMAY-G.
Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online only through the official portal. The written examination will be conducted by Bodoland University at a later stage. No offline applications will be accepted.

Qualification:
- Graduate in any discipline (Minimum 50%)
- DCA (Minimum 6 Months)
- Distance degree valid if approved by UGC/AICTE

Age Limit: 18–40 Years

🗣️ Language Proficiency
Candidates must have good command (written & verbal) of:
- Assamese
- English
- Hindi
This is mandatory as selected candidates will coordinate with the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
🎯 Important Instructions
- Candidates must be Indian Citizens as per Articles 5–9 of the Constitution of India.
- Posts are purely contractual under flagship schemes.
- Engagement will be co-terminus with the scheme duration.
- Candidates should have good knowledge of English and Hindi language apart from Assamese, as they need to communicate with the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
PNRD Assam Selection Process
The candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a written Examination which will be conducted in the various selected centres in the state. The Commissioner, P&RD will intimate the name of centre in the Admission Certificate of the Written Examination. The selection will be based primarily on:
- Written Test
- Shortlisting based on written marks
- Notification via Official Website & SMS
- Document Verification
Written Exam:
1. A candidate may apply separately for the written examinations for Paper-1 and Paper-2, provided that he or she should fulfill the eligibility criteria.
2. Candidates are required to submit their preference for the posts of Gaon Panchayat Coordinator, Computer Assistant, or Gram Rojgar Sahayak for selection under the Paper-1 Examination.
