Eligibility Criteria SSC JE Recruitment 2026
Age-Limit:
Central Public Works Department (CPWD): The minimum age required is 18 Years, and the Maximum age allowed 32 Years as on 1st August 2026.
Director General of Lighthouses & Lightships, Ministry of Posts, Shipping & Waterways: The minimum age required is 18 Years, and the Maximum age allowed 32 Years as on 1st August 2026.
All Other Post: The minimum age required is 18 Years, and the Maximum age allowed 30 Years as on 1st August 2026.
Age Relaxation (as per Government Rules):
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 05 Years+
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 05 Years+
- Other Backward Classes(OBC): 03 Years+
Educational Qualification:
Junior Engineer (Civil): Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute; or a three-year diploma in Civil Engineering plus relevant work experience (requirement varies by organization).
Junior Engineer (Electrical): Bachelor’s degree or diploma in the relevant Electrical/ Mechanical/ Automobile engineering discipline from a recognized university/institute, with experience required in some organizations.
Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Bachelor’s degree or diploma in the relevant Electrical/ Mechanical/ Automobile engineering discipline from a recognized university/institute, with experience required in some organizations.
Junior Engineer (Telecommunication): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical Communications, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Instrumentation.
